The 13th June 2017, saw the Swanage Railway start trial services over a 90 day period from Swanage to the main line destination of Wareham, the ultimate goal for the fledgling Heritage Railway when restoration of the Swanage branch line started in 1976. Four round trips to Wareham were operated that day, here in the glorious summer sunshine the railways Class 33 No. D6515 (33012) 'Lt Jenny Lewis RN' crosses Corfe Viaduct while in charge of the second outbound trip to Wareham the 12:23 departure from Swanage. The stock used for these services was hired in from WCRC and WCR Class 37 No. 37518 is on the rear of the train.
