Locomotive Services Class 47 No. 47805 Roger Hosking MA 1925 - 2013 arrives at the smart and very well maintained Appleby station on 31st October 2020, with a Statesman railtour, the 07.56 from Shrewsbury which had run via Blackburn and the Settle & Carlisle route. Following a brief stop at Appleby the tour headed back to Shrewsbury via Upperby Junction and the West Coast main line.
