A bittersweet moment at Washford on 26th August 2020, as S&DJR 7F 2-8-0 No. 53808 passes the station while transferring from Minehead to the Mid Hants Railway. The locomotive is owned by the Somerset & Dorset Railway Trust, who have their base and a museum at Washford but are facing eviction.
