On a trial working from Cardiff Canton to Rhymney on 19th January 2020, Class 153 No. 153333 arrives at Heath High Level with Class 150/2 No. 150252 for company. It is rumoured that the Class 37 loco-hauled Rhymney commuter workings will end soon, with two or three DMUs in multiple being the replacement.
