On the 21st December 2019, Gresley A3 Pacific No. 60103, "Flying Scotsman" is seen passing Waitby, near Kirkby Stephen, while hauling; the northbound "Flying Scotsman Christmas Dalesman" rail charter from Manchester Victoria to Carlisle, via the S&C, promoted by the Spirit of the Lakes / West Coast Railway Company.
Class 47 No. 47854 "Diamond Jubilee", passes the rear of this train.
