Locomotive Services Ltd Class 47 No. 47593 'Galloway Princess' stands at Aviemore on 21st October 2019 heading the return working of 'The Lord of the Isles Statesman' tour from Inverness to Stevenage. The three-day tour was not without its problems, however, as on the previous day, the return trip from Kyle of Lochalsh was delayed by 75 minutes due to a power failure affecting Inverness signalling centre. The homeward trip on 21st October was booked a 53 minutes stop in Tweedmouth loop, however this was extended to 3 hours 12 minutes due to problems with the rear loco, Class 47 No. D1924, which was eventually left behind in the loop. A fast run of 63 minutes from Newcastle to York reduced the delay to 2 hours. The train then ran main line to Doncaster rather than via Knottingley and eventual arrival in Stevenage was reduced to a 64 minutes delay.
