For the WHR 'Past, Present & Future' gala weekend, a dedicated platform was created at Pen-y-Mount alongside the WHR metals, to allow gala trains to call, and provide a connection with the WHHR workings. The Garratt-operated services to Caernarfon passed through non-stop however. Here No. 138 thunders past with a northbound WHR working on 22nd June 2019.
