On the 10th June 2019, an LNER Class 800 "Azuma" No. 800108, is seen leaving Newcastle Central Station in diesel mode, while working; a test train from Newcastle to Edinburgh Waverley. In so doing, it passes LNER Class 91 No. 91102 "City of York" and provides a contrast between the old and new forms of motive power on the ECML.
