On the 14th May 2019: the 14.04 Arriva Rail North / Northern service from Carlisle to Leeds, was made up of this curious combination of Class 158 No. 158871, a former ScotRail unit and Class 153 No. 153373, a former First GWR unit; two units that formerly operated at opposite ends of the country, which are still in their original liveries but now brought together as Northern units.
