It has been many years since a Class 50 ran along the North Warwickshire line but on 16th November 2018 the Fifty Fund Class 50 No. 50007 'Hercules' (running with No. 50006 'Neptune' on one side) ran from Kidderminster SVR to Stratford on Avon and back to Tyseley Steam Trust. It is seen passing Shirley in poor light on the outward leg. The loco is to assist Vintage Trains with their Polar Express service in the run up to Christmas.
