On the 1st September 2018, the Network Rail Measurement Train, headed by Class 43 No. 43062 "John Armitt", is seen passing through Appleby Station, Cumbria, while en route from Burton Ot Wetmore Sidings to Heaton T&R.S.M.D. in Newcastle upon Tyne. Classmate 43014 "The Railway Observer", was at the rear of this train.
