On the 23rd August 2018, a Class 802, 5 car EMU No. 802201, destined for use with First Trans Pennine Express, is seen passing Croft on Tees, near Darlington, with; a test train from Doncaster IEP Depot to Edinburgh, via Leeds. The train passed in diesel mode, due to interference with signalling north of York, while working in electric mode.
