The Railway Touring Co. Dorset Coast Express commenced for the 2018 season on 26th July 2018, in charge of the first excursion was Ex LNER Class A4 Pacific No. 60009 'Union of South Africa' here seen coasting along at the bottom of Upwey Bank and about to pass through Upwey Station only a few miles from its destination at Weymouth. Diesel assistance was provided in the form of WCR Class 47/7 No. 47760 due to fire risk restrictions and Class 47 No. 47580 'County of Essex' was on the rear of the train.
