With all passenger services between Southampton and Weymouth cancelled for the second day running, a de-icing train was one of the few movements through Branksome on 3rd March 2018. Operating from Tonbridge West Yard to Weymouth via Redhill and Woking, it runs through the deserted station, headed by GB Railfreight Class 66/7 No. 66741 'Swanage Railway', with classmate No. 66769 at the rear.
