On 26th July 1987, Class 37 Nos. 37515 and 37074 pass Gateshead Depot en route to Thornaby. Behind can be seen a number of Class 45 and 47 stabled at the depot. This is another scene consigned to history following the closure of the Depot and extensive housing development at this site. No. 37515 was withdrawn in January 2008 and 37074 was withdrawn in August 2000.
