The Mid Hants Railway held their 2018 Pre-Spring Steam Gala over the week end of the 9th - 11th February as a celebration of 50 years of the end of steam on BR and on a very damp and windy first day GWR Hawkesworth Class 1500 0-6-0PT No. 1501 is in charge of the 11:20 service from Alresford to Alton and is seen approaching Ropley.
