On 9th January 2018, a DRS Class 68 No. 68003 "Astute" is seen leaving Whitehaven. Running from Carnforth to Carlisle Kingmoor around the Cumbrian Coast as this is the second day of a week long training session for DRS staff. The train consisted of a Mk2 carriage No. 6001, a Mk2 brake No. 9506 and a DBSO No. 9707. Classmate No. 68029 was at the rear of this train.
