Since refurbishment, most Tyne & Wear Metrocars carry the standard yellow and black livery. However, a small number have special liveries. Here Nos. 4083 and 4040 are seen leaving East Boldon Metro Station on 5th October 2017 en-route from (Newcastle) Airport to South Hylton carrying overall advertisements for the Emirates airline, who have a daily service to Newcastle Airport.
