On 28th August 2017, Direct Rail Services Class 37s Nos. 37405 and 37716 'top and tail' the Greater Anglia short set into Acle on 28th August 2017. The number of people on the footbridge was a result of waiting for Peppercorn-designed A1 Pacific No. 60163 Tornado to arrive.
