DR Class 99 2-10-2 No. 99 222 is working hard as it hauls the 13.39 service from Drei Annen Hohne to the Brocken (a climb of in 19Km, ruling gradient 1 in 30) past the head shunt at Goethewag on 23rd June 2017. 99 222 is the lone survivor of three 2-10-2s built by Schwartzkoff of Berlin in 1930-1 and has been restored to original appearance.
