During the Mid Hants Railway Autumn Steam Gala the railway ran a recreation of the Somerset and Dorset 'Pines Express', on the first day on 21st October 2016 this recreation of the train is seen passing through the cutting at 'Hampshire Hunt' bridge east of Medstead with BR Standard Class 4MT Mogul No. 76017 the leading engine and coupled behind is BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 No. 92212 the assisting engine which, in this scene is hidden by the exhaust from the leading engine. This loco pairing is the rostered pairing for the third and final day of the gala but is operating due to the failure of S&DJR 7F 2-8-0 No. 53809.
