On the 7th September 1988 Class 08 No. 08730 is stabled between Station Pilot duties at the west end of Edinburgh Waverley Station. No. 08730 is wearing a non standard BR Black colour scheme with a red running plate, red coupling rods and a Haymarket Depot emblem on her bodyside. Built in BR Crewe Works as D3898 in August 1960, fifty six years later she is still operating in Scotland as a works shunter at the Knorr-Bremse overhaul facility in Glasgow.
