BR Standard 4MT 80072 running as former class mate 80041 complete with a wreathe and RIP S&D messages chalked on the smokebox heading the 14.00 departure from Midsomer Norton South in the direction of Chilcompton on 10th September 2016. The smoke box number plate being carried is the original from 80041 and had been loaned by an S&DRHT Trust member for the occasion. This locomotive hauled the final northbound S&D passenger train from Bournemouth Central on 5th March 1966. It was joined by 80043 at Templecombe and the pair ran in tandem to Bath Green Park. The locomotive will be run as 80043 for the remainder of its two week stay at Midsomer Norton
