One of the original DB ICE 1 High Speed trains with Class 401 power car No. 401-553-3 leading the 14 vehicle formation has just arrived at Spandau Station, Berlin on 13th April 2008 with an eastbound service for Berlin HBF. With a sister power car on the rear the whole unit carries the name 'Neumunster'. 60 of these 174 mph ICE 1 units were built by Siemems between 1989-1993 for use on German Inter City services. Of note is the vaulted glass roof that spans all 6 platforms at Spandau Station which a length of 432 metres / 1,417 feet makes it the longest such roof in Germany.
