On the 7th April 2016, a DRS Class 37 No. 37423 'Spirit of the Lakes', is seen approaching Flimby station, with a Northern Rail service from Barrow-in-Furness to Carlisle. DBSO No. 9707 is at the rear of this train. Passing on the left is a Carlisle to Lancaster, Northern Rail service, comprising a Class 142 Pacer No. 142036 at the front and a Class 153 No. 153324 at the rear.
