On the 30th January 2016, a Colas Rail Freight Class 60 No. 60095 is seen passing through Penrith North Lakes station with; a trainload of logs from Carlisle Yard to Kronospan at Chirk, which travelled down the West Coast Main Line today, rather than via the S&C.
