Railfreight grey-liveried Class 56 No. 56016 is shown stabled outside Toton TMD on 5th June 1988. Built in Romania by Electroputere and delivered to BR during May 1977 her first allocation was to Tinsley MPD. By 1988 she had moved down to Toton MPD under whose charge she would remain until her withdrawal in September 1996. Disposal was undertaken by M R J Phillips at Cardiff Canton MPD during June 1997.
