LMS Stanier 8F 2-8-0 No. 48130, and an unknown Classmate are seen stored at Patricroft Depot on the last day of regular steam haulage on BR, the 4th August 1968. An appropriate 'epitaph' is chalked on the tender of No. 48130; "The end of a dream in steel and steam".
