A solitary cyclist is waiting on the platform at Wood End on the North Warwickshire line as Class 172 No. 172334 arrives with the 11:57 Stourbridge Junction to Stratford on Avon service. The station is in a deep cutting, reached by a footpath from the road. Wood End Tunnel is just to the south. The highly visible new staircases on both sides of the line were installed last year to replace steps just to the northbound platform, and a footbridge.
