On 20th May 2015 London Midland Class 172 No. 172342 passes under Edstone Aqueduct with the 10:57 Stourbridge Junction to Stratford upon Avon service. The aqueduct, which carries the Birmingham to Stratford Canal is the longest in England and spans the railway and a road. The branch line from Hatton to Alcester also used to pass under the aqueduct, until it closed in 1951.
