On the 8th August 1997 Class 47/4 No. 47849 failed on a York to Poole service and was rescued by Class 37/7 No. 37717, the unusual pairing seen here passing Catholme. No. 37717 had the large nameplate "Maltby Lilly Hall Junior School Rotherham Railsafe Trophy Winners 1996", and was eventually cut up in April 2009. No. 47849 did not last as long, being scrapped in May 2002.
