One of the highlights of the Welsh Highland Railway's SuperPower weekend was the inclusion of a banking locomotive in the consist of a long freight train. Here, NGG Garratt No. 138 heads the train while sister No. 143 provides mid-train assistance. Also note the water carrier behind the lead locomotive. The ensemble is seen heading south near Hafod-y-llyn on 14th September 2014, recreating a practice sometimes seen in South Africa, from where these locomotives and wagons were procured.
