In superb early evening light on 23rd July 2014 the Royal Train, headed by Class 67 No. 67006 'Royal Sovereign' with classmate No. 67005 'Queens Messenger' at the rear, is seen passing Ais Gill en route to Glasgow for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2014.
