On 14th May 2014, Class 55 (Deltic) No. 55002 approaches Southampton Central leading a convoy of heritage diesels that were returning to the Didcot Great Western Society, from the Swanage Railways Annual Diesel Gala. The locomotives are: 55002 Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (leading), Class 50 No. 50026 Indomitable, Class 37 No. D6700, Class 41 the HST Prototype 41001 and, at the rear, Class 47 No. 47292. The convoy, reporting number 0Z55, was running about 50 minutes late at this point.
