Dawlish is a scene of considerable destruction on 15th February 2014 after a period of very stormy weather. The track already has a coat of rust and is covered with debris. The sea wall in the foreground between the station and Kennaway Tunnel is damaged and the station has been turned into a building site. In the distance can be seen metal containers which have been filled with ballast, while a major breach in the sea wall is being repaired.
