Ex-LMS Black Five No. 45046 is performing station pilot duties at Stockport Edgeley Station during the last weekend of steam in the Manchester area on 4th May 1968. Built by the Vulcan Foundary in 1935, the engine spent the bulk of its working career in the North-west. It was finally withdrawn from Bolton MPD during June 1968 and broken up at Cohens of Kettering in November of that year.
