LNER Peppercorn Pacific Class A1 No. 60124 Kenilworth prepares to depart from Newcastle Central station on a southbound working on 31st July 1965. This locomotive was built at Doncaster in 1949 and was the penultimate Class A1 survivor before withdrawal in March 1966.
