Bulleid rebuilt West Country Pacific No. 34100 'Appledore' stands at Westbury ready to haul the last leg of Southern Counties Touring Society's 'The Devonshire Rambler' charter to Waterloo, on 26th June 1966. The train had started at Waterloo with unrebuilt Pacific No. 34002 hauling to Salisbury where Merchant Navy No. 35023 took over to Westbury. No. 34100 lasted to the end of SR steam and was cut up in October 1967 after 17 years service.
