Running some three hours late 6L70 00:27 Crewe - Sizewell is seen leaving Ipswich for the East Suffolk Line with Class 66 No. 66422 (attached at Ipswich to eventually get the GM loco to Crewe for exam) leading Class 20 No's. 20312 and 20308. This can now happen as there is no requirement for RETB since the introduction of the new signalling system on the East Suffolk Line. As the train was running so late the 11:17 Ipswich to Lowestoft passenger service was cancelled to create a path.
