The ECML route between York and Doncaster was blocked due to engineering works on Sunday 16th December 2012, resulting in East Coast services being diverted via Church Fenton and Knottingley. Here, a Grand Central service from Sunderland to King's Cross operated by a Class 180 unit has just diverged from the ECML passing Colton South Junction.
