For many years Class 150's were the mainstay of diesel-units working in the West Midlands until towards the end of 2011 when a fleet of new Class 172's were introduced by the current operator, London Midland. On 3rd November 2012 No. 172342 approaches Stourbridge Junction while working the 15:09 from Dorridge to Kidderminster.
