In keeping with the Llangollen Railway's '1960s Weekend' a BR green-liveried DMU was used on some services. Seen at Glyndyfrdwy on 29th July 2012 is the Wickham built two-car unit (classified as 109) with 56171 leading and 50416 at the rear working the 13:40 Carrog to Llangollen. This is the only example remaining of this very small class of DMU still extant in this country, it only survived after its brethren were all withdrawn by 1972 as it was converted for use as the Eastern Region General Manager's Saloon.
