Class 40 No. D335 was not fully operational on 4th March and while whistling away all day was effectively provided for its steam heat ability, providing no additional haulage capacity to the train, not that the train loco, Deltic No 55022, required any assistance of course. No. 55022 is seen running round its train at Heywood and past No. D335 which would now tail the 13.05 working from Heywood.
