A new landmark adjacent to York station is the recently erected Big Wheel, situated in the grounds of the Royal York Hotel, formerly a British Transport Hotel. Viewed from platform 9, in this scene Class 91 No. 91130 enters the station on 17th December 2011 propelling a Edinburgh to King's Cross service.
