In a surprise working at the beginning of October the Virgin WB64 trainset was chartered for 4 weekends to work a 9:12 FO Glasgow Central - Euston service which returns on a Sunday. The first southbound service ran on October 14 when No. 90016 provided the traction as noted while propelling the train through Euxton.
