Corfe Castle is often shown in the background of photographs of the Swanage Railway. However, getting the castle in the foreground is much more difficult. From this height, atop a hill near the castle, the train looks more like a model than the real thing. Here, ex GWR 5600 Class, 0-6-2T, No. 6695, accelerates away from Norden Station, at the northern end of the Swanage Railway, with a train for Swanage, on 14th August 2011. On the horizon, left, are Poole Bay, Sandbanks and Bournemouth.
