Even the humble shunter gets a look-on at Swanage, on 7th May 2011, the second day of the Swanage Railway's Diesel Gala, as it called-upon to assist the turn-around of a train headed by 56301. Most locomotives use the loop at Swanage to run-around the train, but I gather that the bogies of the Class 56 were too long for the tightly-curved points at the Swanage-end of the station. Consequently, the shunter was employed to drag the coaches out of the station so that the 56 could be released. However, the train was emptied during the move, so nobody got a ride behind the shunter.
