About to enter Ferryside station on 30th April 2011 is the returning Spitfire Tours excursion headed by Direct Rail Services number No. 37688 'Kingmoor TMD' and 37194, with 47580 'County of Essex' on the rear. This working was 1Z52, 17.25 Carmarthen to Preston running about 5-minutes late, but sounding wonderful as the 37s hauled 13-coaches and a Class 47 near to the start of their long journey home.
