Renfe Unit, No. 718M, about half-a-mile from Fuengirola on 3rd March 2011, en-route to Malaga Central. In Fuengirola, one terminus of the C1 line, the station is underground; within a few hundred yards, after crossing a river (shown here), the line has climbed onto an elevated section that runs through the centre of the adjacent town of Los Boliches, above the middle of a dual-carriageway.
