On 12th March 2011, Crewe Heritage Centre paired with Freightliner to organize a Charity Weekend. On the day, Freightliner were grateful to display one of their latest batch of Class 70 locomotives. Here, No. 70011 sits in the yard on display to the public, however due to restricted rules, no cab visit and start ups were allowed as promised during the planning of the event.
